Opera Memphis

Opera Memphis update, May 19, 2022: We have made the difficult but necessary decision to release the Memphis Symphony Orchestra from this weekend's performance with our thanks. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, some key members of the artistic team of Così fan tutte will be unable to continue.

Così fan tutte

It has long been said that love is fickle, but young Ferrando and Guglielmo and their girlfriends Dorabella and Fiordiligi swear absolute trust, loyalty, and devotion to each other... that is until the jaded Don Alfonso presents the young men with an opportunity to test the bonds of love. Will Ferrando and Guglielmo risk their future happiness on a bet? Will their sweethearts see through the ruse? Or will curiosity set the lovers on a path to ruin? Find out this May in the one-night-only performance of Così fan tutte at First Baptist Church (East Parkway & Poplar). Featuring Opera Memphis Handorf Company Artists and guests, and directed by Opera Memphis General Director Ned Canty, Mozart's clever comedy will leave you laughing and contemplating the nature of young love. ALL PATRONS PLEASE NOTE: Masks must be worn at all times within the venue. Thank you for helping to protect our artists. Location: First Baptist Church (East Parkway & Poplar) Date: May 21, 2022 Time: 7:30 PM Preshow talk: 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall
